Materials & Logistics Manager PURPOSE Lead and manage the materials/logistics team (PMC,buyers,customs,Warehouse and Shipping), Optimize and monitor performance; coordinate routines with internal departments ( Production, Procurement, R&D, Quality,finance etc.) and external functions (business/customers,ITCO,EHS,logistics/customs,etc.). with the objective of ensuring all operations, activities, business supports smoothly, legally and effectively within business strategy, company policies and china customs regulations/policies.
AREAS OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning & Budget Prepare department budget and work plan and control the expenses within the budget in order to conduct effective budget control
Policies & Procedures Check the department policies, initiate the policy change and follow up; monitor the policy execution in order to ensure the procedures and policies in line with corporate standards
People Management Allocate and balance work across direct reports to ensure stable operation support and plan for contingency; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team and submit manpower application and interview the candidates in order to achieve targeted department performance and retain key talent.
Planning (i) Manage Sales order (ii) Monitor the process of demand & capacity analysis and review the result (iii)Monitor other planning related activities as inventory control, delivery performance and production control (iv) Review and approve MPS (Master Production Schedule) and MRP (v) Conduct customer relationship maintenance activities (vi)Coordinate with other departments in solving functional issues in order to ensure on time production and customer’s delivery and keep inventory in cost effective way
Purchasing (i) Review and approve PR (ii) Conduct supplier delivery performance management and control (iii) Analysis and review PO (iv) Review supplier capacity (v) Conduct RMA(return material authorization) control in order to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of purchase orders.
Customs & Logistic (i)Conduct freight control (ii)Keep operations(import and export) align with customs regulation/policy and maintain good relationship with gov. (iii)maintain e-book balance (iv)Keep very good records traceability (v) Implement of ITCO policy (vi)Manage forwarder and broker
Warehouse management (i) Monitor inventory physical safety and record accuracy; (ii) Review the warehouse capacity; (iii) Monitor outsourcing vendors in order to ensure material is well kept and drive warehouse operation cost reduction (iv)Manage 5S and EHS performance
Project Management support (i) Coordinate/support factory business projects management from materials/logistics function in order to ensure smoothly project implementation on supplier chain. Requirements: Bachelor's degree minimum, SAP expert, supply chain related certification preferable Over 10 years working experience and at least 7 years people management experience in multinational companies Leadership and able to drive improvement cross functionally Aggressive and team player Flexible and Change management skills Accountable |
